python-statsmodels-lib software package provides low-level implementations and bindings for statsmodels, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-statsmodels-lib
python-statsmodels-lib is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-statsmodels-lib package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-statsmodels-lib *
You will get with python-statsmodels-lib package name, version, architecture and description in a table
